This film was extremely moving, cried 3 times in the theatre and I’m tearing up while typing this🥹… It is so inspiring for woman of all ages, especially in competitive sports! Gertrude Ederle paved the way for woman in sports. She did what was thought to be impossible, in a world ruled by men. No matter the obstacles that came Trudy’s way, she never backed down. She kept training, continued through all the hate & judgement and the insanely freezing, rough waters of the English Channel to prove to herself and the world that woman can do anything they set their minds to! I loved every second of this film and I’m sure you will too 🙂
