Laura Tobin Instagram – ☔️ ☀️ 🌱🌼I loved #Floodre @flood_resilient_garden @rhschelsea it inspired so many people-me included Highlighting how gardens will play an increasingly important role in preventing flooding Loads of great ideas like -Decorative water storage -bigger gutters to collect water -Chains to direct the water -The swale forms a stream, channelling rainwater into a feature pond where it can gradually soak away. -Slopes for drainage #BrandAmbassador Functional but also pretty that will respond and adapt to the challenges of heavy rain and surface water flooding by embracing the water as a feature and harnessing it for future use. I loved working at the garden all day talking about the changing climate in the UK, warmer and wetter winters, hotter drier summers and how gardens can play a key roll in reducing the impacts of flooding. Congratulations designers Dr Ed Barsley and Naomi Slade for your silver award
