Lee Newton Instagram – Today marks one week post a cutie lil’ heart valve replacement surgery. Went in for a routine checkup March 14th- and my INCREDIBLE doctors at UCLA knew it was time to put the 27 year old valve I had previously- to pasture. (The old valve was a bovine one named Bessy, and I loved her dearly)… slam to a very hectic 2 weeks later WE’RE IN SURGERY BEBE!
What. A. Rollercoaster. I’m on the beautiful other end of it. Now it’s just healing and learning my new routine- But oh boy what a beautiful lesson this has been in trust, trusting myself to make the right decision, trusting the incredibly talented doctors, trusting my amazing support system, trusting that life and the keepers that be don’t give you more than you can handle- also, trusting that you can fuggin handle it.
There’s tons more to say, and I’m sure I’ll dive into it in a podcast, or blog, or personal newsletter- but HOLYSH*T am I grateful for my blessed lil’ life, BEYOND INCREDIBLE partner @localoneway and family, phenomenal doctors, and OUTRAGEOUS ADVANCES IN MODERN MEDICAL SCIENCE!! ♥️♥️
