I remember thinking, “I just need a few bucks to get by until my next paycheck.” I sat down and added up my expenses for the week – bus fare, lunch, a drink with the girls – and it came to $40.25. Just when I thought I was out of luck, a check came in the mail – and bam! It was for $40.25. Coincidence? Nah, life was saying, “You get what you ask for.”
