Loreena McKennitt Instagram – Recording 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 album 30 years ago at the legendary 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐬 (@RealWorldStudios) in Wiltshire, England was magical. Loreena, 12 other musicians and a full choir gathered to record the album in the world-famous, old-mill-turned-studio founded in 1980 by Peter Gabriel (@itspetergabriel).
The recording that transcends genres went on to sell over two million copies. That music created memories and forged bonds that thrive to this day – 30 years on. And now, a live version of the album recorded at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco in May 1994, originally for radio syndication throughout the U.S. and Canada, is being released June 14th as 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 𝑳𝒊𝒗𝒆, followed closely by the June 26th launch of Loreena’s 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒊𝒓𝒓𝒐𝒓 30𝒕𝒉 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒂𝒓𝒚 𝑻𝒐𝒖𝒓, bound for Greece, Turkey, Spain, Germany and Italy.
