Marg Helgenberger Instagram – I am very sorry to hear that the actor, comic, musician, & painter Martin Mull has died.
I first became a fan of Martin while a teenager when I happened upon the subversive sitcom, MARY HARTMAN, MARY HARTMAN, & later its spinoff FERNWOOD 2-NIGHT. Martin was a rare & gifted talent, & lovely man, who for decades never ceased to make me & millions of others smile.
Martin was also an extraordinary painter whose work appeared in N.Y.’s Whitney & Metropolitan museums, among others. I loved visiting Martin at his studio in L.A. to see everything he was working on. His unique painting style combined lightness with darkness, & always with a touch of humor. I loved his work so much that I bought several pieces which are proudly hung on my walls.
The painting above my piano was featured in the virtual episode of the tv series ALL RISE, shot in the early days of the pandemic.
My thoughts are with Martin’s wife Wendy, & daughter Maggie.
Rest in peace dear Martin. 💔 | Posted on 30/Jun/2024 05:40:13
