Marnie Alton Instagram – Brought our girls on their fist Parisian adventure 🇫🇷✨

When the studio opened in 2014 there was a big wall in the front lobby. A blank slate. I really wanted to do something special to represent the community of women showing up for classes. I was so freaking grateful every time someone walked in the doors because that meant I could keep them open another day! I had this idea to do something playful that just looked like a graphic design from afar, but when you got close you could see it was made up of individuals in various class positions. I mentioned this to two of the most amazing humans @kirakate & @stacymarston to see what they thought of the idea and they immediately said we need to do it. They showed up after work and on weekends to bring it to life. It took us over a week to paint these ‘beautiful barre babes’. Important note here: Kira is an incredible artist who created the design and drew every single silhouette herself while Stac & I tried our best to fill them in😆 The result was 20 x 30 foot wall of unique bodies (by nature of them each being hand painted). Different colors. Different shapes. All beautiful. Clients used to sit and look at them between classes, pointing out who each other was or giving the girls backstories. We saw ourselves and each other on that wall. It was so beloved.

Both @karenfowler99 & @robingwright worked out at the studio and fell in love with the wall too. When they asked if we wanted to make a print for their amazing company @pourlesfemmesofficial the answer was obviously HELL YES!!! It took us almost 10 years to make it happen, which ended up being the perfect timing to celebrate this M/BODY milestone.

These pj’s are so incredibly special to me. They represent 10 years of hard work, tears, triumphs, kindnesses, defeat, support, connection and the power of believing in your dreams. I am so grateful that even though the studio is gone our girls live on.

Comment below if you remember our wall ❤️✨
