Mayim Bialik Instagram – The events of the past weeks in Israel and Gaza are heartbreaking. Prime Minister Netanyahu is on a mission that has already had devastating consequences for Palestinians, for Israelis, for Jews, and for Israel’s relations with the entire globe. The hostages – including 5 Americans – are not home, suffering continues, rockets continue flying into Israel, and confusion abounds. In addition, chants of “Intifada Revolution” and “Glory to the Martyrs” and Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran praising the campus protests feels more and more surreal every day for this Zionist Jew. That being said, this episode of Sam Harris’ podcast, while sometimes painful to process, is critically important to listen to. Have your teenagers listen to it. You don’t have to agree with everything Sam says, but please listen to this analysis and take comfort in knowing you’re not crazy if what’s going on in the world feels a bit like the Emperor’s New Clothes.
