Meaghan B. Murphy Instagram – My daughter graduated 8th grade 🎓and it’s taken me all weekend to put my big(!) emotions into words. Yup, I cried (a lot) 😭 during the mass and ceremony.
Here’s why I was a puddle:
😇 I tucked my late Pop’s and my Nana’s hankies in my bag. I wanted them to “be there” with us for this milestone moment. That triggered all the feels from the first hymn. Also, why does children singing in church always wreck me?
🏫 Middle school is hard—then throw in a pandemic. Slideshow photos of students in masks, 😷 were an emotional reminder of how far we’ve all come in 4 years. 🙏🏼
💪🏽Being a Mom is my most important job. Knowing that I only have 4 more in-the-house years to get it right fills me with equal parts relief and sadness.
🧡 But mostly, I’m just so proud. We love you, Charley!
