I can’t tell you how profound an experience making this film was. I’m still having a hard time processing it all.
We shot this movie over 6 days in the middle of the pandemic, Fall 2020. Pre-vaccines. The story unfolds over seven scenes (Stephen had originally written it as a play), so we essentially shot a scene a day.
I have so much gratitude for our crew and producers who were so dedicated to getting this story told. And I hold deep admiration for my castmates, Karen and Corey, and our incredible writer/director, Stephen. Their work in this is just masterful.
This film is honest and haunting. Elsa’s story is one of millions like hers. I hope you get the chance to check it out in theaters this week. And thank you so much to everyone who supported the film this weekend. ❤️🤍💙
