Led by our trans women of color community advisory board members serving the Midwest and Ozarks, we will host this exciting and interactive “Hey Sis!” panel conversation. We will provide a nonjudgemental, affirming, and educational space for trans women of color who have engaged in sex work, both currently and in the past.
This panel workshop is open for individuals interested in learning more about harm reduction and transformative justice practices. The workshop will mainly focus on resiliency and safety, and we will discuss the structural and interpersonal ways these concepts can be applied. We will also cover topics such as how we rate and value ourselves with clients and ourselves, how to build communities in both in-person and online settings, tips for navigating apps, and techniques for advocacy and peer-sharing. Allies are welcome to attend the workshop, including white trans folks and cisgender people who are willing to take a back seat in the conversation to center trans women of color’s voices and resilience.
The TransTech Summit provides attendees with tools to grow their existing careers, interact with new media technology, network with other LGBTQIA people, learn new skills, and access additional training tools.
