To be honest, at the moment, I don’t know if I’ll ever release another physical album or single again, since the world of music is mainly digital now. I mean, how often, if at all, do people actually go to the CD shop, let alone buy physical copies nowadays? As someone who grew up buying CDs of my favorite musicians, it is a little sad that such an amazing culture is nearing it’s end. And the sad truth is, it’s so much harder to make a living through music now, unless you’re viral artist getting billions of streams. But at the same time, I also appreciate that this evolution of music business has immensely helped music to become more worldwide, more borderless, and accessible to everyone. There are pros and cons to eveything. And in the end, there’s really no point in trying to deny change. I for one, will continue to do what I love and keep trying to reach people who need music in their lives, for as long as I can, analog, digital, whatever floats the world’s boat. Of course, as long as my favorite artists keep releasing physical CDs, I’ll remind myself there’s nothing like the feeling of opening an album for the first time and flipping through the pages of the booklet while playing the tracks and getting all emotional ’cause it’s the best damn thing ever. What’s my point? Keep listening to your hearts content. Keep Rocking On.
