Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
One of Ken’s mantras that he adopted during this journey was YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE. No matter how difficult and painful things become you always know there are caring people around you to help lift you up. Which is something Kenny has tried to exemplify throughout his life, even in the midst of the most difficult times with this disease.
