Reflecting on the passing of Tommy Smothers and I can’t help but think back to my childhood in Vegas. As a kid, I’d accompany my mom to work at Caesars Palace, where The Smothers Brothers would perform night after night. Their comedy was a beacon of hope and a much-needed escape, providing endless laughter. My best friend @lolabrgeda and I would sit on the side of the stage and watched these shows and we’d memorize their jokes, songs, and monologues ~ I’d repeat them as if they were my own. Of course, I can’t remember any of them today. But their performances, alongside those of other entertainers, not only shaped my childhood but also gave me the strength and resilience to navigate life and it’s challenges. Their thought-provoking quote resonates deeply, reminding us to ponder life’s mysteries and our place in the universe.
