I’ve been looking forward to this day for a minute, when I get to let you all know when it’s comingggg Making this album felt crazy at times, I really pushed myself in so many ways, and that can often in the middle of it all have you feeling like how am I gonna achieve this vision? But I’m really happy to say, I’m so grateful, this album taught me what it means to elevate in what you do, push myself to be better/learn more/try new things ive never done before/ and keep goinggggggg I can’t wait to share it with you 20th September is the day

A week of my new single out in the world ! Thank you all for playing and sharing it ! Fortify – as I said on my live last week I guess the best way to describe my intentions behind the track is that it’s about strengthening yourself mentally and physically. To protect yourself from the wildness of life, so that you can continue to elevate and just be.. people will try to bring you down, undervalue you, whatever it may be.. it’s about finding the ways in which you can nourish your soul to keep moving forward. I’m glad this tune is a part of your life’s soundtracks at the moment, thank you so much for all the lovely words about it keep it playing ✨ What fortifies you? Me? I’ve got a bunch but here’s a few – my ride or dies, music, plantain, moments of stillness, and training to keep my body feeling strong, feeling the sun and heaaaat

15 years ago I met @joeajkeys at @tom_warriors – all them years ago I don’t think any of us knew where we’d be in 15 years time, I’m grateful to have been playing together on both our projects and others solidly since then. He’s one of my favourite musicians and people and when Joe calls to make a dub, you KNOW I’m down! and this is what we made. Thank you for this sick dub. Joe sent me a video of jah shaka playing this tune, an absolute hero to me, hearing us on that soundsystem? I love being in the studio because it’s usually a time I’ll have been preparing for for a while.. getting my ideas together to bring them in.. getting the score together – I guess you could call them kind of maps – maps through each tune. These help us be completely present with each other in the same place, with energy to play off these ideas and to play off each other. The studio is where everything comes alive, it’s special as you know it’s recorded rather than on the stage where that was a moment in time you can’t go back to… the studio captures these special moments. It’s quite a sacred space for me.. For the first time ever I invited the cameras in to document some of that process.. more on that to come.. for now all I’ll say is, my long time collaborators ✨ thank you for bringing my music alive @casimirdaniel @joeajkeys @barrelljonesmusic
