Poppy Liu Instagram – one piece of history i keep thinking about is how the symbol of the 1948 nakba is a key. because that year when 750,000 palestinians were displaced from their homes they took the keys to their houses with them thinking that, after the war was over, they would one day be able to return home. 75 years later and many can’t even step foot on the land of their ancestors, and yet the ties to homeland are unbreakable because palestine will live forever.
