The Northern Honey Bee alighted upon the imaginary poetic gardens of “Viccajiana” (a specific island colony situated within the immortal realm of “Metaphorium”), drawn by the sweet nectar of verse. Here, amidst the blooming verses, it was beckoned to the hive of our featured Queen Bee for today: Rachel Viccaji.
Rachel Viccaji, a multifaceted artist from Karachi, Pakistan, has made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. Her journey began at 17 as a band member, followed by notable performances in musicals like ‘Chicago’ and ‘Mamma Mia’. Her breakthrough came in 2011 as an artist and house band member on a famous soft beverage brand, where she showcased her talent in hits like “Shamaan Pai Gaiyaan/Ki Dam Da Parosa”, “Kaatay Na Katay”, and “Saiyaan”. Rachel also led the backing vocals team, crafting and performing harmonies for several seasons. Her film credits include roles in “Parwaaz Hai Junoon” and “Parey Hut Love”. With a diverse musical style spanning World Music, Jazz, Blues, Funk, and Rock, Rachel has expanded her horizons since moving to Vancouver, BC. She has pursued her acting career, completing a diploma in Film, Television, and Voice Over from Vancouver Acting School. Recently, she featured in Mohamed Asaani’s music video “Lullaby for Guli”, which was a finalist at the Berlin FilmHaus Festival.
