Renu Desai Instagram – Dear Hyderabadis,

As the scorching sun beats down on us and we anxiously await water tankers due to the dried-up groundwater, another challenging situation looms before us. The HMDA’s plan to establish India’s largest marine park and aviary right here in Hyderabad carries far-reaching negative impacts, not only for us but also for the health of our oceans and the planet as a whole.

We urge you to take a moment to educate yourselves about this matter and actively share the information with your friends and family. It is of utmost importance that we understand the potential consequences of this project. Our future and the well-being of our children are at stake. Let’s unite to protect our environment, secure a sustainable future, and reject the establishment of such facilities. Join us in raising awareness with the hashtags #HyderabadSaysNoToMarineParkAndAviary and #NoMoreCaptivityForEntertainment.

Thank you in advance for your attention and support.

Edit- There was a technical error in the calculation of water required for paddy crop. However, the amount of water is substantial as it can produce up to 3000-5000 kilograms of millets or 1500-3000 kilograms of wheat, there can be more such examples. Considering water as a precious resource, we should refrain from wasting it on such facilities and instead utilize it for more essential and meaningful purposes.
