Sara Mitich Instagram – A lot of people ask me how to find more gratitude in their life. This is something I will get into more on the podcast, but I wanted to share one way I do it.
Most mornings I am usually up about an hour before the sun rises. It’s my favourite time of day. I sit outside (when I can) and I sip my coffee and put pen to paper. I start with at least 10 things I am grateful for and why I am grateful for them, and then let it go from there. Some days it turns into pages and pages of gratitude, other days it’s writing out my anxiety, other days it turns into poems/writings (I’m not sure what to call them if I’m being honest) that flow out of me. This came to me this morning. I call it “Another Day”.
My secret to finding more gratitude is to really SEE the beauty in life. In every moment. No matter what is going on in the world or in life, I have learned there is always something to be grateful for. From that sip of coffee to feeling the bubbles over my hands when I wash the dishes to resting my hands on the steering wheel of my car.
I call it: Finding Magic in the Mundane.
When you do that – your life changes. Gratitude doesn’t have to be precious. It doesn’t have to be saved only for “special” moments. I fill my mornings with as much gratitude for life as I can. Even on the “bad” days (especially on those days). You don’t have to be an early riser like me, some people just aren’t. But filling your morning with gratitude sets your whole day on fire.
