Scottie Thompson Instagram – Lately, I’ve just wanted to rest. All day. Every day. And just be with those roses that call me to smell them. Some kind of nervous system response, perhaps, to a nonstop existence.
Yes, I buy into it all and traipse about the earth adding to the nonstop nature. And the more I move, the more I discover that what calls is nature itself. Begging me to just admire her beauty. Take a breath and absorb it all. Recognize she is worth noticing and protecting. Yes, Kauai is a particularly profound paradise; but the beauty of a flower bud can be almost as curative as the majesty of these mountains. It is this earth that restores. For me, at least. It fills my soul and replenishes my body.
