Their doggy mom had given birth and then had been run over by a vehicle, leaving her 8 puppies stranded on the road. I was looking to adopt a puppy. That’s when this little luxmi came into my life. It’s been magical ever since. She has made me feel like a mother, she has taught me selflessness, she has been the greatest support system ever. Don’t get me wrong, I had been gifted 2 dogs earlier and they were bought – both of them well taken care by my parents and in-laws since we couldn’t displace them from their surroundings when I left to move to my own residence. Having said that, luxmi’s intelligence is on another level. People call them by different names – Asian village dog or mongrels but Singapore calls them the “Singapore special”.
