Fascinating history – our famous poet Allama Iqbal spent some time studying Philosophy, Literature and German in university of Heidelberg, to commemorate the residence of the famous poet in Heidelberg, one of the street on the banks of the Neckar was named after him ”Iqbal Ufer ” Moreover, there is a small stone monument on which his poem ”Ek Shaam Nekar ke kinare” is engraved.
