“Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students were visited by author Dr Shini Somara, who shed light on the fascinating world of engineering with some live demonstrations of fluid dynamics in action.
Dr Shini is an author, broadcaster, and mentor at Imperial College, London, who makes it her mission to bring complex science, technology and engineering to everyone. Dr Shini spoke to our students about some of the incredible innovators who feature in her book, Engineers Making a Difference: Inventors, Technicians, Scientists and Tech Entrepreneurs Changing the World, and How You Can Join Them. Our students were inspired by Dr Shini’s tales of how engineers can solve the greatest real-world challenges!
