Silje Torp Instagram – Walk away from your “demons” aka unhealthy mindset 😈
Often we think it’s the friendship, job or relationship we need to walk away from to ease our pain or discomfort. But that’s only part of the truth. The truth is that it is our own thought patterns that allow these things to happen to us! Somehow we think we deserve to feel miserable, and we allow ourselves and others to treat us bad. 🙏🏼
When we slowly change our mindset from being a victim of our circumstances to actively dealing with them in a manner that serves us, we can really start to act on behalf of ourselves. When the mindset is right, it becomes more natural to practice healthy self-advocacy. And yes, sometimes that involves walking away from a draining relationship or a job that we hate. But most of all it means walking away from sabotaging ourselves on a daily basis. We deserve to be happy & free! 🙌🏻
And to get there we need to really communicate with our heart and soul. What and who do you want in your life? What do you dream of? Who are you, deep down? Big Q’s – I know- but the answers are there if we dare to ask- and listen. ❤️
A 🔥tip:
Identify the 3 core values that you want to live by. I know it’s hard, but give it a try. Many people are not aware of what values they cherish or live by, yet they do exist and only when we are aware of them we can take advantage of them. The moment we identify them (and maybe replace a few that didn’t serve us) it becomes so much easier to wholeheartedly say YES or NO to things! 🥳And also much easier to discover who we are deep down and see for ourselves why we deserve that respect and love ❤️
If our cores values are being compromised in a job situation or a relationship, it is hard to thrive. When we feel bad/discomfort about something, it is often one or more of our core values that is conflicted. So when ever someone/thing is bothering you, ask yourself : What core value us being compromised? What steps do I need to take to get it right? 🤔
So:
Make it a habit to check in on your core values whenever you need to make important decisions! It will save you lot of time, energy and tears.
Much love!❤️
