Dr Edith Eger wrote: “There are no words to salve these moments. What I know is that violence and hate will not result in love and peace.
I am for embracing our differences. I am for compassionate listening.
I am for children and women being treated with respect and dignity.
I am for peace.
And I hope to spread more love and more tolerance. I have seen the darkness of hate. And I have seen the beauty of love.
May we learn to resist the temptation to hate. And find it in ourselves to love. Even in the face of tragedy and despair.
May we find hope in hopelessness.
