🇷🇴 George Ionut Virban is a lyric tenor from Romania who started his musical education at the Dimitrie Cuclin Music School at Galati in 2009. Four years later he joined the National Conservatory in Bucharest, where he graduated in 2019.
🎶 George Ionut Virban made his stage debut as Lenski in Eugene Onegin at the Russian town of Saransk, and has won several prizes and awards at renowned singing competitions in Romania and France. Georgie was a holder of scholarship of the Queen Margarita Foundation. He frequently appeared as a soloist of the National Bucharest Opera and the Bucharest Operetta Theatre.
🎭 From 2019 to 2021 George was a member of the Opera Studio of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. Recent guest appearances took him to the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Opéra d’Avignon, and at the Shangaï Concert Hall.
