Summer Sanders Instagram – Melanoma Awareness Month! I have had 4 melanoma. The deadliest form of skin cancer. I hesitated posting a picture of me at the beach but I think it’s important for people to think of sun safety and skin cancer awareness, realistically. When I go out in the sun, I don’t stay out for long. I always completely and, according to my family, annoyingly slather myself with sunscreen. But I still love the sun. I just know my limits. I also know to check my skin! Skin cancer shows it’s face to you!!! So, before you unveil your awesome new swimsuit, take a moment in your birthday suit and look for anything NEW, DIFFERENT, DARKER, or THAT CATCHES YOUR EYE! And MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENT WITH A DERMATOLOGIST FOR YOUR SKIN CHECK! It’s all about catching it early, like I did!!! Let’s enjoy the spring and summer together. See you in the water.
