Taylor Black Instagram – A few makeup preferences💄
1) 🤎 If in doubt, go w/ neutral tones for the eyes. Always flattering. If you want a pop of shimmer for added dimension, @chantecaille makes the best eyeshadows.
2) 💦 Prioritize skincare/hydration underneath makeup for smooth, natural looking foundation, or your base. Prep skin w/ hydrating spray great moisturizer (my fave skincare is @luzernlabs – TBLUZERN for 20% off in Bio). Use hydrating foundation/base formulas, & set with a hydrating, non-drying setting spray (fave is @hourglasscosmetics Veil). My go-tos are @exa.beauty , @amorepacific_us Tinted Moisturizer, @armanibeauty Luminous Silk, & @chantecaille Future Skin.
3) ✨Be weary of sparkly highlight formulas, opt for dewy (love @rmsbeauty Living Luminizer & @saiebeauty Glowy Super Gel).
4) 🟠 Make sure bronzer/contour is not orange-toned. Love @patricktabeauty natural looking contour shades/formulas.
5) 🧽 Always blend, blend & blend again!
6) 👁 Use a tubing mascara with lengthening fibers & curl your lashes. @thrivecausemetics & @maybelline are great. Also love @loveseen .
7) 🪄Fill in & brush up brows, but make sure the shade is neutral & soft looking (@anastasiabeverlyhills makes the best brow pencils. I usually go for a taupe shade to match my hair roots- matching your roots is 💯 ). Love a brow gel on top to define/hold the brows in place. @kosas , @makebeautyofficial , & @iliabeauty .
8) 😮💨 Less is more when it comes to face powders, & be weary of using too close to the eye, as it can exaggerate wrinkles/crepiness under eye. Love a translucent or blurring powder. So many great options- @saiebeauty & @100percentpure & @chantecaille have great formulas.
9) 👶 @frownies at night for smoother makeup application on your forehead & less tension/lines (check them out, I swear by them! Code TBLACK – link in bio!)
10) 👁 Don’t rec using a dark eyeliner in waterline under your eye, as it can make eyes look smaller.
11) 💞Don’t skip blush. Peach tones for the win!
