Tembi Locke Instagram – From book to screen, I hoped From Scratch would be not only a joyful love story, but also a beacon of light for viewers: a guide through the fog of illness, family conflict, loss, parenthood, and the everyday ups and downs of life. As a creative team, we endeavored to make a show that would be a classic, in the tradition of films like Terms of Endearment, Claudine, Cinema Paradiso, while also expanding a genre.
