Tina Lifford Instagram – #CrownLove is resilient and empowered. 💚👑💚
An amazingly inspiring afternoon yesterday at the Crown Awards celebrating the extraordinary strength, grace, and perseverance of notable Black women whose talents and leadership help advance the legacy of Black beauty and brilliance.
An afternoon in support of the #CrownAct which seeks to end race-based hair discrimination in the workplace and in schools. Each honoree spoke to the importance of Self-acceptance, the need for spaces where one feels free to show up authentically, and the power of community and action.
I left the celebration feeling hopeful and motivated, both thriving Self energies that charge and drive me.
As we approach Crown Day on July 3rd you can join this powerful movement. There’s a link in my bio to learn more and to sign a petition to make it illegal to discriminate against a person in the workplace, schools, and/or pools because of their natural or protective hairstyle. Our collective voices have so much power.
