Victoria Spence Instagram – Our view of ourselves doesn’t come close to how everybody sees us.
But, more than that, our view of ourselves doesn’t accurately represent how we look.
When we look in the mirror, we don’t just see ourselves for what’s reflected back at us; we see our ugly thoughts, how we compare to somebody else, the times we’ve failed, not been chosen, or felt not good enough. Significantly, as women, we reduce most negative things that have happened to us in our lives to have some connection to our appearance because, for too long, the media has reduced us to our bodies.
When we look in the mirror, the parts of us we get hung up on become amplified, and if we’re not careful, we can lose rationale and think that when we walk into a room, our insecurities enter first with a red flashing sign saying ‘im a flawed person, here’s proof.’
Please let this be your reminder that you’re at your most beautiful when you are freely living your life, that your insecurities mean sweet FA to anybody else & that your energy is EVERYTHING 🫶🏻#bodyconfidence #selfloveera #bodyimage | Posted on 10/Jun/2024 19:55:47
