Sarah Close Instagram - SEE YOU FOR NOW my new ep is out now!!!!!! i first started writing this music waaayy back in 2020, it was lockdown and i’d moved back to the island. everyday i’d go to my piano and just write, by myself, for the first time in forevaa. and cus i had the time to fail and be bad at it, i started producing those songs too. it was an identity shifting time and one that i am so grateful for, it helped me find myself again as an artist after a rough and confusing few years of my early 20s. ‘FORGIVENESS IS MY WEAKNESS’ (ep1 that came out a few months ago) and ‘SEE YOU FOR NOW’ (this ep) are a collection of 14 songs inspired by your 20’s!!! and maturing!! and all the emotions of growing up, falling in love, falling out of love, thinking about dying and everything in between 😮‍💨 i can’t tell you how emo i have felt this weekend knowing that this era has come to a close… i released the first single back in 2022 and the plan was for these EPs to be yours early last year… but some behind the scene changes meant they had to sit on my hard drive a little bit longer than expected. i’m rly rly rly so happy for them to finally be out, existing together across these 2 records, as i always dreamed of. i’m grateful to you all for your patience!! i have more to say that i will say later this week but, thank you!! ily all so much!!! and buh bye, SEE YOU FOR NOW

Sarah Close Instagram - 1. the artwork for justify. this was taken on my local beach on the island by @ktsilvester!!! moving back to the island in the pandemic really shifted my whole life. without that move, i don’t think i would have written these songs or started producing. it was sooooo important to me to shoot the visual world for these songd in the place that the music is so connected to. i’m v grateful to Katie for the way she captured the island, and to @hannahbraid for assisting and helping! i love the island and i can’t wait to show you more of it 2. lol . from producing the song in my studio on the island last summer 3. the first initial scratch idea for the song. i love that you can capture the moment a song is born! 2 months later i took the idea to @adamargyle and we wrote the song you hear today. 4. something suppper duper cool is i got my little brother to play bass on this song! it’s the first time we’ve ever collaborated like this 5. from the day Adam and i wrote the song in my old flat in london. adam is my favourite songwriter ever and i think he is a lyrical genius. love you adam
Sarah Close Instagram - 1. the artwork for justify. this was taken on my local beach on the island by @ktsilvester!!! moving back to the island in the pandemic really shifted my whole life. without that move, i don’t think i would have written these songs or started producing. it was sooooo important to me to shoot the visual world for these songd in the place that the music is so connected to. i’m v grateful to Katie for the way she captured the island, and to @hannahbraid for assisting and helping! i love the island and i can’t wait to show you more of it 2. lol . from producing the song in my studio on the island last summer 3. the first initial scratch idea for the song. i love that you can capture the moment a song is born! 2 months later i took the idea to @adamargyle and we wrote the song you hear today. 4. something suppper duper cool is i got my little brother to play bass on this song! it’s the first time we’ve ever collaborated like this 5. from the day Adam and i wrote the song in my old flat in london. adam is my favourite songwriter ever and i think he is a lyrical genius. love you adam
Sarah Close Instagram - SHES A BRIT NOMINATED SONGWRITER. hahahahha i can’t believe this is real life rn. 2 years ago i sat down at my piano messing about with some melody ideas… this one stuck and months later i took it to the studio with @wearepunctual @stevieappleton @itswillmanning (slide 3). then @bl3ss.bl3ss, @camrinwatsin & @bbyclose took the song and made it a hit!!! i would never ever ever ever have believed u if u told me that day that this initial idea would turn into all this. i am genuinely… shook. & so happy for this moment and a huge congrats to everyone who has worked so hard to make it happen 🫶 shoutout to the never ending delulu
