My Sea Monster challenge is dedicated to the mysterious beauty if the Salton Sea. Its such an enchanting place with a rich and tragic history of once being a unique body of water completely landlocked in the desert. Once a highly saught after resort town now lies in ruin due to rising salt levels due to a myriad of factors. Most of which being agricultural runoff, but the blame lies in a lack of congressional interest. A distinct feature to this place is the indescribable smell of exposed sea bed and the massive graveyard of fish corpses. Its a beautiful community worth saving!
