If you were getting on a plane and you saw the pilot sweating heavy and crossing himself, would you think „here’s a man who knows he’s not going to crash this plane”? If you saw a plumber going into bathroom sweating and crossing himself, would you not think that he’s about to fuck that place up? The way I see it, if a player has to believe in divine intervention to win, then has no faith that his team can pull victory themselves…
