Aiden Zhane Instagram – These have been sitting in my camera roll for quite some time. It’s officially cancer season so I’m feeling generous enough to share 😘
My posts have been few and far between & that is because this year I’ve taken a big step back from drag.
Truth be told it has not brought me much in the way of success for quite some time (mentally, spiritually, or financially)
I absolutely love drag and the outlet to express myself creatively and used to dream non stop about being on @rupaulsdragrace
I made that dream come true and have had so many amazing experiences that I wouldn’t trade for anything. Even though my journey has admittedly been a rough one.. it is still mine and I own it.
This year I haven’t been feeling creative or really myself at all… I’ve been trying to soul search & really make sure Devin has what Devin needs. Stability. I’ve struggled hard with that because of my stubbornness & desire to pursue what I love and ultimately I found myself back at the starting line struggling to make ends meet and so with that I’m focusing on myself for a bit.
I don’t know where that leaves Aiden… hanging in the balance I suppose.
This is not a “I’m quitting drag” post but instead a life update since I know I tend to keep my real shit guarded and to myself. You will see Aiden resurface from time to time through the rest of this year as I navigate this thing called life and my hope is to eventually REALLY come back to her when the time is right and be the artist I’ve always wanted to be. It’s been a hard journey for me figuring all of this out but hopefully I can get myself in a space where I feel happy/stable and then… give Aiden the love and attention to detail that she really deserves. Who knows.. maybe even return to your television screens 🤷♂️
Thank you to those who’ve followed my journey this far… don’t get used to this kind of openness 🤣 But I wanted to at least let those who care know what’s been going on in my world as I feel your support has earned that! Thank you.
