Alain Robert Instagram – After climbing Polpot freesolo in Verdon in 1996 and out of wisdom I have decided to retire from freesoloing hard grades on rocks as I have realized that I couldn’t go any further as I had already climbed freesolo more than 15 routes in between 5.13b up to 5.13d including the 1st two 5.13d in the climbing history back in 1991 . But moreover I was freesoloing without any margin in between what I could climb with a rope and without and back in the days I was very close to what was humanly possible in the world with a rope .
