Jillian is a co-founder of Durham for All, an organization working to build a multi-racial, cross-class, political vehicle in Durham. Jillian is also on the national board of Local Progress, a network of progressive local elected officials, and co-chair of the state chapter. Jillian is active in the labor movement and was one of nearly 1,000 people arrested in 2013 as part of North Carolina’s Moral Monday movement. Andrew Gillum Instagram – Battle Tested – in more ways than one 😉. 

We wrapped up Spring Break with a tour of the USS Alabama where the kids related a lot of their questions to the War in Ukraine 🇺🇦. 

We got to talk about the real costs of 
war. Admittedly – they were mesmerized to learn of the abilities of these fighting machines. 

Vacay wasn’t all history lessons and civics (my favorite 💙), they also got some fun beach time too 🏖☀️🌊.

Alexandra Bailey currently works at the ACLU as a National Organizing Specialist. She studied organizing and political change theory at the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. 

Prior to joining the ACLU, Alex served as the Coordinator for Women’s March in Chicago, Illinois. She has frequently used her organizing skills to win numerous campaigns, ranging from tenant protection and voting rights for unhoused citizens, to passage of the Equal Right Amendment in Illinois. Alexandra is also a member of @nbjconthemove Good Trouble Network.
