In honor of World Brain Tumor Day 🧠 • I am feeling very overwhelmed right now. The Tony’s are next week and my wedding is the week after. I had two months and a week to recover from brain surgery in November (not including the 2nd operation in early December) and haven’t had any real time off since I started rehearsal February 1st. I feel the pressure building as these next two weeks approach. It’s a time that I’ve been striving towards since my diagnosis. Words don’t do justice to the size and amount of feeling in my soul. • Working to keep gratitude on top of the long list of feelings at this time. I’m grateful to be alive, I’m grateful for the support, I’m grateful to be working in a show that feels like fate carried me to it, and I’m grateful to be marrying the love of my life in two weeks. WHAT A TIME! • @outsidersmusical is @thetonyawards winner for BEST MUSICAL!!! • Tonight, we get back to work and give this incredible show to more incredible people. 💙
The last 24 hours with @outsidersmusical was EPIC! • @kevincsolak & @karl_shakur DJ’d a set in the basement of The Jacobs after our Saturday night show! @kevincsolak surprised us with a dope remix of ‘Great Expectations’ he’d been working on behind the scenes. • After our Sunday matinee, the cast went to @powerstationatberkleenyc to listen to our cast album for the very first time! If the reactions in this reel show you anything, it’s that we are BUZZING for what is about to be given to the rest of the world. @sonybroadway captured lightning in a bottle and produced a phenomenal album that keeps the heart of our show beating, without giving away the unique magic of the live show.
