Burt Jenner Instagram – When I was 16 my friend found an officers satchel with a badge and gun in it. He brought the gun to the house my friends and I would hang out at. When he arrived we were all sitting outside in a circle getting faded. As he walked in the yard he pointed the gun at me… I told him not to point the gun at me, and he responded “don’t worry it’s not loaded” and showed us the clip had been removed. As we inquired where he got the gun, he handed it to us, and we passed the gun around the group to check it out… after a few minutes he yelled “give me the gun, give me the gun!”… once he received the gun, he pulled the slide back and retrieved the bullet that had been sitting in the chamber the entire time.
Everyone was quiet for a few minutes, but kept looking at me as they remembered how the whole interaction had started… I will remember this moment till the day I die.
My children will not be raised ignorant about how guns work.
