I remember being told “the only competition you should have in your marriage, is who can serve each other better.” When our marriage is strong, that theme is protected and valued. When our marriage has struggled, that theme has been distant… and thats because “Serving” is not a word that we instantly gravitate towards because it involves putting yourself, your needs, your opinions second.
