Carl Lentz Instagram – The pandemic and all of its challenges are legit. But I have been so grateful for the extended, almost constant time with this little man. We have had time to laugh together, hang together, annoy each other and also learn from each other. That last one there, is major. As a dad, its our job to be somebody these little men can “look up to.” Ive realized that includes apologizing when they do look up, and see something inconsistent with what they have been told. I told a young dad recently that one of the most powerful things you can do as a dad, is own mistakes and apologize. It doesnt weaken your authority, it deepens it. We are bound to make mistakes as parents, especially WHILE QUARANTINED, because..kids are irritating. But also incredible! And its good to know that God is so gracious, He can even use our losses as wins in the parental bigger picture.
