Casey McQuiston Instagram – okay so one very important thing about writing a book that takes place over the span of a three week bus tour is that you have to know what’s in your main characters’ bags. you can’t describe more outfits than can reasonably fit in large backpack. you must not lose track of the two pairs of shoes they brought. if they smell like something, you need to account for room in their toiletry kit for perfume. if it’s a romance, you need to know what kind of underwear they packed (and, to be frank, what kind of lube). they can only have one pair of sunglasses, so what do they look like??
so, throughout the writing process of THE PAIRING, i planned out the contents of kit and theo’s bags to use as a constant reference tool. not only did it help me manage continuity, but it also helped me get to know them better. i wanted to share these so you can get to know them too, before you meet them in three (3!!!!) weeks! | Posted on 15/Jul/2024 21:36:05
