I can still picture him when I was growing up.
The island of ponza
side of a steep hill,
Palmarola nestled in the horizon.
Tilling the ground on his hands & knees
in a pair of old grey business slacks,
black thick suspenders & white undershirt.
He loved his garden,
I miss my nonno so much.
There are so many things
I wish I could ask him today.
