Social media has driven us all into ECHO CHAMBERS. When we disagree with someone, or are triggered by something they say, or something they say challenges the NARRATIVE that frames our ECHO CHAMBER we can instantly block & delete. This has perpetuated EXTREMISM in our society as we have grown accustomed to HATING anyone who challenges our viewpoint — instead of analysing what shaped their viewpoint — and what INFORMATION or MISINFORMATION they might have. When we are in ECHO CHAMBERS we can’t share information. Exchanging information is UNCOMFORTABLE because it means we might be WRONG about something, but it helps us solve problems & broadens our outlook on life to maintain happy and healthy relationships.
