Politicians (especially in the USA) make bipartisan issues wedge issues to gain power, because most politicians don’t have morals, they just want power. Israel being a wedge issue is incredibly dangerous, because the smears & propaganda against Israel is not a takedown of Israel — but of all democracy & the free world. China used Tik Tok. Russia used bots & recycled Soviet propaganda. The Islamic Republic used Qatari news agencies & the funding of student groups in academia — a targeted campaign aimed at the left— and its takeover of the UN as Human rights chair.
