David Baddiel Instagram – This week’s Walking the Dog guest is the utterly wonderful @therealbaddiel who doesn’t have a dog, but he does have a very friendly neighbour called Frank Skinner who generously loaned him his beautiful Cavapoo Poppy for our walk. Even though David often tells me he doesn’t really ‘see the point’ in walking, he is an absolutely brilliant person to go for a walk with, because he’s so endlessly funny, endlessly smart and endlessly fascinating. Despite all this he still struggled to master the basics of how a dog lead works, which in many ways sums up why I adore him so much..
He’s also just published an unputdownable memoir called My Family inspired by his hugely successful West End show – it’s a painfully honest, stomach clutchingly funny insight into the comically surreal goings on in the Baddiel household and I LOVED it, so I strongly urge you to read it immediately.
