Dean Lewis Instagram – This song is finally out. Something I’ve struggled with is posting other songs around my singles. I am so in love with ‘memories’, but I also feel a deep need inside of me to show other new songs that I’m working on. I feel pressure that doing this is seen as a negative thing, to “take the attention away” from another song. But for me, I’m at a place where I just genuinely want to share my art like I did when I first started music and had nothing and no expectations other than a love for what I was making, I never used to need to go viral, it was just about the art I had created. I’m starting to go back to this place. This is a new song of mine that’s unfinished called “the last bit of us” in it I attempt to describe the final moments of a relationship with someone I loved. Knowing this is the end of the line, and describing that bittersweet feeling of saying goodbye, knowing it’s over.
