Building some cool pieces up at the workshop in Oregon. 10 years ago, I started Frison-Logue Hardwoods with Kevin Frison. Between me bouncing around for acting jobs and Kevin being busy with his tree service, it’s been fits and starts and a lot of work to get the mill in place, a kiln, the workshop built, and the process in flow. But now, we truly have it going on. For any craftspeople interested in working with hardwoods, we have a huge selection of oak, big leaf maple, walnut, and other slabs and tons of cedar, Doug fir, and blue-stained pine planking. We only use logs that have been salvaged for repurposing, most which would have been destined for firewood. Our goal is to protect the wood (through the process of kilning), which makes it possible to build pieces that will last centuries.
