Eduardo Garcia Instagram – Snip, snip, snip, the dutiful blades of a sharp set of shears seduced me out of a blissful morning sipping coffee in the garden or our bnb.
Naturally my curiosity did its thing and my feet followed as they always do. My morning went 2X with unexpected and welcome conversation.
A tree trimming lesson turned into a hour long hang out. I offered a hot coffee which most laborers universally will accept gratefully.
We covered mushroom foraging, bears, hornets and other wild betta points. He offered to take us hiking if we had a few days. Maybe next time I’ll leave more open space for the unknown.
This time around, it was the perfect cut of culture and no frills humanity I’ve come to find wherever a humble heart and smiling presence collide.
Arigato kind sir. I’ll see you on the mountain one day no doubt.
