I love your little smile and the way you squint your eyes when you say “cheese” for the camera. I love the way you laugh when I tickle you and how you yell “again!” while trying to catch your breath. I love the way you love to sing your favorite songs all day and twirl around when music is playing. I love how you say “hi” to everyone we pass without discrimination and want to hold other kids hands who you just met moments before. I love how you ask mommy for tea and milk and want me to have a tea party with you every morning in your new “big girl room.” I love how you get down on all fours when we get home and donkey kick your feet up in the air so I can take your shoes off. I love how you ask me to clip your nails because you know l’ll turn on the Wiggles for you while I clip them. I love how much you love spending time with your mother and me and how much you trust me with your little heart. Thank you for trusting me with your heart, Makaiah. You will forever have mine.
